    The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) sponsored and authored a compendium of practice recommendations to prevent healthcare-associated infections in acute care hospitals in partnership with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the Joint Commission, and the American Hospital Association (AHA). The compendium is available for download.
