Question: If an issuer has submitted a justification in response to a quality outlier notice from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and received official notice that the justification was accepted, should the issuer document that process when completing the issuer's attestation?
Answer: Yes. CMS requires issuers who are reporting discrepancies to provide CMS quality outlier notification even if the issuer justification in response to the quality outlier notification was accepted.
