This file contains a summary of service utilization by ASC supplier and is derived from 2023 ASC line item level data, updated through March 2024, that is, line items for services furnished on or after January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023 that were received, processed, paid, and passed to the National Claims History file by March 31, 2024. This file contains data for ASC services billed in 2023, including services that were added under the revised ASC payment system. We revised CY 2023 HCPCS codes (where appropriate) to reflect their CY 2025 payment status and description using internal CY 2023 to CY 2024 and CY 2024 to CY 2025 crosswalk files. This file includes 705,333 records summarized first at the supplier level and then at the HCPCS code level. This is a flat file that is available on DVD.
The ASC LDS file will be available twice a year, once for the NPRM in late spring/early summer, and again for the final rule within a month of publication of the OPPS final rule in the Federal Register.
