Demonstration Project to Clarify the Definition of Homebound, the Home Health Independence Demonstration.
The first part of this request is for a message to be included as part of the General Information
message contained in the Medicare Part B Carrier Medicare Summary Notice, for all
beneficiaries, in the three demonstration states for the first three months of the implementation of
this change request. The second part of this request is for the same message to be included in the
General Information message of the Medicare Summary Notice of the Regional Home Health
Intermediary (RHHI) for Medicare beneficiaries receiving home health benefits in the previous
month, in the three demonstration States, beginning July 5, 2005 and continuing to August 1,
2006.
