Eligibility Despite Temporary Hired 2000 Census Bureau Employment

Guidance for : I am writing to inform you of an important opportunity to ensure that individuals (and their families) who are temporarily hired by the Census Bureau to assist in Census 2000 do not lose eligibility for Medicaid or the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) because of the income they receive from employment by the Census Bureau. Census 2000 offers a unique work opportunity for those receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and other low-income individuals to earn money while receiving training and developing valuable work skills.
