End of the Medicaid Continuous Enrollment Condition Frequently Asked Questions for State Medicaid and CHIP Agencies
CMS is releasing these answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding the changes
made to the FFCRA by section 5131 of subtitle D of title V of division FF of the Consolidated
Appropriations Act, 2023 (P.L. 117-328) (CAA, 2023), SHO #23-002, and related CMS
guidance. These answers also address questions regarding changes made by section 1002(a)(1)
of the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for
Patients and Communities (“SUPPORT”) Act, Pub. L. 115-271, enacted on October 24, 2018,
regarding eligibility changes for the Former Foster Care Children (FFCC) group under section
1902(a)(10)(A)(i)(IX) of the Social Security Act. For additional information regarding the
