Files Maintenance Program Update to the Internet-Only Manual (IOM)
This instruction consolidates the Files Maintenance
Sections from the paper-based Carrier & Intermediary Manuals as well as JSMs 05006,
06013, and 06173 to Pub. 100-01, Medicare General Information, Eligibility and
Entitlement-Chapter 7, Section 30. Additional information on: imaging requirements,
record storage facility standards, as well as the "freeze" were added to the IOM, and are
shown in red italics.
