Initial Core Set Mandatory Reporting Guidance SHO
This State Health Official (SHO) letter provides guidance and outlines our expectations for
submission of states’ quality measure data beginning with Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024 reporting
and applying to all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.
Throughout the SHO, the term “states” is used to collectively refer to these states and territories.
American Samoa and the Mariana Islands may, but are not required to, report Child and Adult Core
Set measures.
