Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Educational Requirements for the Expansion of the Repetitive, Scheduled Non-Emergent Ambulance Transport (RSNAT) Prior Authorization (PA) Model
CMS is expanding the RSNAT PA Model nationwide under authority of section 1834(l)(16) of the Social Security Act (the Act), as added by section 515(b) of MACRA (Pub. L. 114-10). This CR will instruct the A/B MACs to educate providers and beneficiaries on the model's specific requirements.
