Medicare Approved Facilities/Trials/Registries Carotid Artery Stenting Facilities

Guidance for facilities that have met the CMS's minimum facility standards for performing carotid artery stenting for high risk patients.

Effective 10/11/2023, CMS facility approval is not required and the approval process is no longer available. For updated facility standards, please review the final decision memorandum for Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) Concurrent with Stenting of the Carotid Artery (Appendix B, NCD 20.7, section B4).

Between 03/17/2005 and 10/10/2023, the following facilities met the CMS's minimum facility standards for performing carotid artery stenting for high risk patients.
