Guidance for contacting Medicare's 24 hour helpline.

If you are a Medicare beneficiary, and need general Medicare information, information about health plans, or instructions for ordering Medicare booklets, please call Medicare's 24-hour helpline toll-free at 1-800-Medicare (1-800-633-4227). TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.  You can also visit www.medicare.gov.

For more information on submitting a request for an NCD review, please see our August 7, 2013 Federal Register notice (PDF) or our page on the Medicare Coverage Determination Process.  If you need further assistance regarding NCD requests, please email NCDRequest@cms.hhs.gov.
