SPOTLIGHT & RELEASES

12/20/2023: CMS released the Third Brief Evaluation Report for the New York Integrated Appeals and Grievances demonstration, the Third Evaluation Reports for the Rhode Island (RI) & South Carolina (SC) capitated model demonstration, & the Preliminary Third Evaluation Report for the Texas (TX) capitated model demonstration, under the Medicare-Medicaid Financial Alignment Initiative along with associated Findings At-A-Glance for RI, SC, & TX. More information is available below.

12/15/2023: CMS released the Beneficiary Experience Research Results for the Integrated Appeals and Grievances Demonstration in New York (10/01/2022). More information is available below.

10/05/2023: CMS released Evaluation & Cost Savings Reports, with associated Findings at a Glance, for model demonstrations in New York, Ohio, & Washington under the Medicare-Medicaid Financial Alignment Initiative. More information is available below.

 

All demonstrations will be rigorously evaluated on their ability to improve quality and reduce costs. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with an external evaluator, RTI International, to lead the evaluation of each individual demonstration. While each state-level evaluation may evolve over time, the documents below show the evaluation strategies for approved demonstrations and for the overall initiative.
