Payment Methodology for Rehabilitation Services in IHS/Tribally Owned and/or Operated Hospitals and Hospital-Based Facilities
Billing from IHS/Tribally owned and/or operated hospitals and hospital based facilities for rehabilitation services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Services, should follow the billing instructions for non-IHS/Tribal hospitals. IHS/Tribally owned and/or operated hospitals and hospital based facilities will be paid based on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, except for Critical Access Hospitals which are paid on a cost basis.
