Privacy Awareness Training

Guidance for privacy training.

Issued by: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Issue Date: January 01, 2020

Employee training and education is a key to carrying out CMS’ mission. Upon hire and each year, CMS employees and contractors must complete information systems security and privacy awareness training. This training provides information on how to be responsible and transparent when working with personally identifiable information (PII) and information systems.

Privacy Awareness Training

The CMS Information Security and Privacy Group (ISPG) ensures all employees and contractors get the information systems security and privacy awareness training in compliance with Federal guidelines and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
