CMS Manual System Pub. 100-04 Medicare Claims Processing Transmittal 727 Change Request 4145 Annual Type Of Service (TOS)
Guidance for Medicare contractors revising Chapter 26 to include the crosswalk of 2006 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes to national type of service (TOS) indicators. Some changes have been made to previous existing HCPCS/TOS combinations. Any additional new codes not included in this instruction will be part of the 2006 HCPCS file and contractors should refer to the 2006 HCPCS file for all new 2006 codes and the applicable TOS.
