Requirements for a Provider Direct Mailing and Education & Outreach for Behavioral Health Initiatives
The purpose of this Change Request (CR) is to outline the requirements for provider outreach and education, including a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) direct mailing to eligible physicians and non-physician practitioners about Medicare-covered behavioral health services as outlined in the Consolidated Appropriation Act (CAA), 2023.The education and mailing will raise general awareness of these initiatives and provide information on eligibility and billing.
