Revisions to the Manual for the State Payment of Medicare Premiums
The Manual for the State Payment of Medicare Premiums (formerly called “State Buy-in Manual”) provides information and instructions to states on federal policy, operations, and systems concerning the payment of Parts A and B premiums (or “buy-in”) for individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. CMS has revised policy instructions in chapter one of the manual to reflect recent changes in regulations. CMS will revise chapters of the manual containing operations and systems instructions at a future date.
