Guidance for FAQ regarding 834 Transaction and Effectuation Transaction

Question: Can CMS state when the deadline is for issuers to submit effectuation files, how long the time frame is for issuers to submit files and what steps must be taken if there are errors in the submission process?
Answer: Issuers should submit effectuation files as soon as possible after the 26th of each month. Should errors arise during the submission process, please follow the guidance listed in the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 999 rejection file.
