Guidance for State Survey Agencies (SAs), their State, Tribal, Regional, local emergency management partners to view past documents and information.

Issued by: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Issue Date: January 05, 2018

With recent events such as Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Irene and other natural disasters which have affected both States and the provider community, CMS and the Quality, Safety & Oversight Group (formerly Survey & Certification Group) have created this space for State Survey Agencies (SAs), their State, Tribal, Regional, local emergency management partners to view past documents and information. This area includes past lessons learned as well as frequently asked questions which have come up during an emergency incident.

HHS is committed to making its websites and documents accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. We are in the process of retroactively making some documents accessible. If you need assistance accessing an accessible version of this document, please reach out to the guidance@hhs.gov.
