Jerry A. Menikoff, M.D., J.D., OHRP, shared tensions that may arise between a physician doing what might be in the best interests of current patients, versus enrolling an adequate number of participants in clinical trials to help uncover the information needed to help future patients. This presentation covered the medical ethics perspective and highlighted examples of what a physician could do in these situations.
