Speakers Harlan Pruden, British Columbia Centre for Disease Control, and Travis Salway, PhD, Simon Fraser University, examined improved practices to better formulate health research, policies, and programs that are mindful to Two-Spirit peoples (LGBTQI+ Indigenous participant) and communities. This presentation also covered IRB considerations for reviewing research involving special populations and touched on the importance of ensuring culturally competency within a diverse research framework. This presentation was delivered at the OHRP Research Community Forum co-sponsored with Northwell Health in May 2022.
