Eduardo Cisneros

Eduardo Cisneros serves as the Principal Deputy Director of Intergovernmental and External Affairs (IEA) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Immediately prior, Eduardo served as Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. He first joined the Biden-Harris Administration as Intergovernmental Affairs Director for the White House Office of the COVID-19 Response. Prior to that, Eduardo worked at AltaMed Health Services, one of the nation’s largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). Before that, he worked at SEIU Healthcare in Washington, DC. Eduardo also served in the Obama-Biden Administration as a Special Assistant to the Secretary and Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor. A native of Los Angeles, Eduardo is a graduate of California State University-Long Beach and holds an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago. He lives in the Park View Neighborhood of Washington, DC with his wife, Diane, and two toddler boys.
