Dr. Sheila Robinson
Director of Federal Occupational Health (FOH)
Dr. Sheila Robinson is the Director of Federal Occupational Health Portfolio within the Program Support Center. Dr. Robinson leads in providing comprehensive, high quality, customer-focused occupational health services for over one million employees in more than 300 federal agencies across the United States. She oversees the overall direction and supervision of Portfolio staff in the formulation of policy, coordination of activities, and implementation of plans to carry out the Portfolio’s mission of improving the health, safety, and productivity of the federal workforce. Federal Occupational Health Portfolio service areas include Clinical Health, Behavioral Health, Environmental Health and Safety, and Wellness and Health Promotion.
Prior to joining the Federal Occupational Health Portfolio, Dr. Robinson was the Deputy Director for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Rural Health where she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and leading the rural health team in the development, dissemination, and oversight of nationwide programs and enterprise-wide initiatives designed to increase access to care for rural veterans.
A retired United States Air Force Colonel, Dr. Robinson served for more than 20 years in various positions, culminating her active-duty military career as the Director of Coalition and Non-Beneficiary Healthcare Programs for the Defense Health Agency and Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
Dr. Robinson is also a board-certified fellow in health care management through the American College of Health Executives. She holds a Doctorate in Health Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master’s in Health Administration from Chapman University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Grambling State University.
