FOIA Annual Reports

In accordance with the Electronic FOIA Amendments of 1996, each Department is required to electronically submit available annual reports. The annual reports specify a variety of numerical benchmarks such as:

• The number of requests received and processed
• Reasons why the agency may not have released requested records
• The number of appeals and the results
• Fees collected
• and the number of staff and staff hours devoted to processing requests
