About the Data Observatory
The U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission provides the links on this page to public-use interactive data analysis and visualization tools from various U.S. federal agencies so that policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, etc. may examine health indicators, including disease prevalence, healthcare access, and mortality rates in the U.S.- Mexico border area.
The area along the border between the U.S. and Mexico spans 44 counties located in four U.S. states, and 80 municipalities spread across six Mexican states. The region has a blend of cultures, languages, and customs influenced by historical, economic, environmental, and social factors. The diverse border communities are influenced by the complex relationship between the two countries.
