HB2030: Collaborative Action to Improve the Health and Well-being of the United States - Mexico Border Population
Healthy Border 2030 is the third iteration of Healthy Border, an initiative of the Commission.
This document, which focuses on the U.S. side of the U.S. - Mexico border, is intended to present a brief assessment of health data and issues that affect the health of the U.S. side of the border population and to provide leadership and high-level strategic recommendations for federal, state, and local governments, and community-based stakeholders to take action to address them. The U.S. Section of the Commission developed these recommendations based on a set of priority areas common to both countries and defined binationally but with a focus on the U.S. context and considering the importance of a binational approach when feasible.
HB2020: A Prevention & Health Promotion Initiative
Healthy Border 2020 (HB 2020) addresses five public health priorities prevalent among border populations: Chronic and Degenerative Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Maternal and Child Health, Mental Health and Addiction, and Injury Prevention. HB 2020 aims to create a framework that defines the public health goals for the region and outlines the necessary actions to enhance the health of residents living in the U.S. - Mexico border area.
